newbie creating an .atr disk image

Recommended Posts

I know how to do it successfully

but today I tried with more exe files and atarimax flashcart program only includes 66 .exe files out of 120 something that are in the folder, does someone have an explanation for that, did I do something wrong?

thanks for your help

I found all the exe files on

ape.dyndns.org:8084

and use to do the atr file

the following

perl maxflash.pl -8mb -exepacker -cheese -altptr -cart "C:\800xl" MyMultiCart.bin

Are you using Windows?

If so you might want to try using the MakeMenu software, which will let you set seperate options for each EXE file. It can also tell you about any potential problems, like a game requiring OSB.

Does the program open?

The first time you run it, it will ask for the location of maxflash.pl and supermenu.bin, plus the directory where you want to put the output files.

Then click 'file->new cartridge'

Select 'supermenu' type and the size of cartridge to make along with a name for your cartridge menu, then 'OK'.

After that you can just drop EXE files from the explorer into the window to add them.

no the makemenu.exe does not open

Hmm, you might file a bug report on the sourceforge tracker so Eric can respond.

He would probably be very interested to find out why the program will not run for you.
