Dolt #1 Posted February 12, 2006 What the heck is the game with the white label? It's a system I was trying to buy that got away, as the guy sold it to someone else already. Damn, I would have loved to have gotten a system with that hand-controller.

elliott #4 Posted February 12, 2006 (edited) Looks like a CBS Donkey Kong for the 2600. http://www.atariguide.com/c2/209.jpg From the looks of it everything there is PAL. Edited February 12, 2006 by elliott

Mindfield #6 Posted February 12, 2006 PAL Donkey Kong from CBS Electronics. http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=2294 1017101[/snapback] Not necessarily PAL. Those are standard CBS re-release labels. I had a number of them with my CV set a while back.

The_Laird #9 Posted February 12, 2006 Don't think the Stampede is Pal - all the Pal Activision carts say "International Edition" on them but I can't zoom in enough to see. The Wizard of Wor is Pal either, the Pal version was on a black cart with color writing the D.K. I never knew that the Jnr. came with the 7800 joypad at any point. Every single one I ever saw came with cx-40's.

(Kung Fu Master is one exception I can think of) Some were released by Salu in Europe (Ghostbusters II, for example) or HES in Australia (the "Pak" bundles, along with River Raid II and some others). The ones that were released by Activision were mostly late releases as far as I can remember, and had plain white labels similar to the black label editions in the US. This is not always an identifier though, since there are some NTSC white-label releases that also had black label releases (Space Shuttle, for example). I have many Pal carts which i've bought new in England that have the full colour labels with international edition on them and only a few which are white label. Salu only did very late re-releases and a few very late games like Acid Drop, Pick N Pile and Ghostbusters 2. My Kung Fu Master is Activision and says so on the box and cart and the same with later releases such as Double Dragon, Rampage and River Raid 2.
