CO9207 #1 Posted February 15, 2006 How do I get rid of this warning: "A ROM load error prevented Atari800WinPlus from booting. You should check the rom settings under Atari/ROM Images menu" Also, how do I run games and apps on this emulator? Sorry to ask, but I am a total newb to 8-bit Atari Emulators. It also says at the bottom of the screen when I load a game it says "Initialization Error". Can anyone help me to solve this predicament? Thank you. Nukey Shay #2 Posted April 1, 2006 The initialization error will appear when you first try to run the emulator (because you need to set it up manually). It'll continue to do this if you've never set it up...and will always crash out. When it asks you if you wish to set it up, click OK and browse to each of the 4 system roms (the OS-B, XL, 5200, and Atari Basic rom images). Once this is done, the initialization error should no longer appear (unless the wrong machine type is used to boot a cartridge rom). When running games, you can select the disk/game/cart/etc., set the proper machine type, and do a "cold reset" to reboot the emulator.
