+DarkLord #1 Posted February 15, 2006 Hey guys. I was just wondering, is the Atari Workshop in the UK still open? I know I browsed there a few months ago, and they still had quite a bit of Atari equipment listed. I went back last night, or tried to. I couldn't find anything "Atari" at their site. Thanks! :-)
Paolo #2 Posted February 15, 2006 Don't know... I just find a webhost, so I assume they are down for manteinance. I checked System Solutions, just to be sure they weren't out of business, and they are alive and kicking, and they have a link to atari workshop. I tried it before I posted here. It takes you to some strange, very non-Atari website. Further, Uwe Seimet, author of HDDriver has posted this message in comp.sys.atari.st: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, As the Atari Workshop website has vanished and I have not been able to reach Atari Workshop by email I have decided to offer the English version of HDDRIVER *including the English manual* myself. I am currently revising and updating the English manual. Users ordering HDDRIVER 8.1 can now choose between the German, English and French manual. The French manual only covers HDDRIVER 7, though. For registered users of HDDRIVER 8.1 the current English manual is also available separately. Please refer to http://www.seimet.de/hddriverprices_english.html for details. Remember that you can pay with PayPal, which ensures that HDDRIVER can also be ordered conveniently from countries outside the EU without having to pay high fees for bank transfers or sending the money in cash. Best regards, Uwe ----------------------------------------------------------------- So apparently, he can't reach them as well. Sure would hate to see them quit - they had a large inventory online last time I visited there. :-(
Paolo #4 Posted February 15, 2006 Strange: system solutions clearly report in their history as being Atari related (I well remember the times BEFORE AtariWorkshop), and then list the link to the actual Atari 'branch' in the homepage, left column. The website that appears in place of AW seems to be its webhost, that's why I assume they are down for manteinance or similar

They sure did have a lot of great Atari stuff the last time I did manage to get through. Here's hoping!
+DarkLord #6 Posted February 22, 2006 Just wanted to mention that their website seems to be back up now. So everyone go order at least 1 item, so they'll know they were missed! :-)
