Atarian7 #1 Posted February 18, 2006 (edited) They now have my name so I have to go check my account every time I get a spoof email to make sure they didn't gain access to my account. I get about 4 of these a day. Edited February 18, 2006 by Atarian7
txsizzler #2 Posted February 18, 2006 lol.. I get them all the time too. I usually move my mouse over the link that they have specified, and look at the properties to where the link goes to. Its always to some weird website, that has some kind of paypal extention at the end of it. Everytime I have reported this to Paypal as a spoof though, they never seem to do anything about it (they always send out a tough-sounding reply though.. saying they will prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law). Half the ones I get have me giving someone an outrageous sum of money which I know these people never got. Can't give what you don't have.

Mindfield #7 Posted February 20, 2006 I always move my payment reciepts as soon as I'm finished paying for stuff, so if I suddenly get one of these damned things when I'm not expecting one I know right off the mark that it's a phish. I'm still pissed that they have my name (and others, of course). That crosses the line.
