Dragon's Lair SNES

Recommended Posts

Picked this up for $5 the other day and I have to say, its not a bad little platformer. Its got lots of cool Dragon's Lair themed elements and retains some of the quirky fun that makes the original one of the greatest games of all time.

I never knew there was a DL for the SNES!!!

Thus far I have only gotten to the first boss (the big snake), but I am liking it pretty well. Any other fans out there?

And what of the NES version, is it anything like this?

I havent' played the SNES version but the screenshots looked slick. The NES version is the same type of platformer, I never really got into it so maybe the SNES does have better gameplay. NES screenshot

The one Dragon's Lair that really impressed me aside from the original was the GameBoy Color version. It wasn't a platformer, instead it tried to recreate the decide your path gameplay of the original. It worked well too.

The NES version of DL is just hopeless; I can't even get past the first screen. Sluggish controls and the game just make me angry. But the SNES version is pretty good. I had it for a while but sold it on. But I did play it a bit and enjoyed it, much easier than the NES version.

I liked the original arcade game, and when Dragon's Lair 3d came out a couple years ago, I became a fan again.

I have complete games for NES, GameBoy, and SNES. I don't care for the NES one, but the others are fun. Dragon's Lair 3D is still my favorite by far! I really recommend that game!
