AtariJr #51 Posted March 29, 2006 Id have to say that the Sega Saturn is the best one I have. There is something about the system and the games for it that you don't get with other systems, it just feesl special. I love my SNK and Capcom games and oh boy are there a lot of good ones (esp imports).... there are several psone and even dreamcast games that were made for the saturn which look better (like Street Fighter Alpha (Zero) 3)) becuase of the 4 meg expansion. Other than that I have a soft spot for my Sega CDX and Atari JR as well.... but Revolution will change all that now wont it...
youarefree #52 Posted April 1, 2006 It's a close call between SNES and NES for me. I love Super Mario World, but I think NES has a lot more classic that I love. Metroid.. Kid Icarus, SMB, etc. Ok, ok.. NES wins.

NES wins. Yeah, I never really did get into SNES all that much. While it may be the more powerful one there are certainly more classic games for the NES. This may not be the case though if they did make the SNES downward compatible like they originally planned. Their is an adapter to play NES game on the SNES but I don't think it is to common. The NES has a much better library.
jpfalcon2003 #54 Posted April 2, 2006 Definitely the 7800. I love the fact that it is backwards compatible for the 2600 games. It makes good for collecting a large variety of games to use on one system too. Both systems had really good games.

It was the winter that the 64 came out and i begged and pleaded for one... and they got me this! My dad actually had the 64 in his hands, but he ran into his boss at the store and gave it to him to kiss up!!! god i hate him... anywho, i look back now and i realize the system was pretty good, but ive had an undeserved hate for the system since then, finally getting over it lol. You're kidding me... he had a C=64 in his hands for your Christmas gift, ran into his boss, and gave it to his boss instead? That is a move right out of Malcom in the Middle. I want to smack your dad around for doing this.

Shawn #59 Posted April 4, 2006 It's a tough call for me as the 2600 was my first system but the 7800 has been very nice to play with also sense I have got into "collecting" games in the last few years more seriously and I have had a good chance to give all systems a fair chance. I supose my favorite game is a 2600 game and my favorite system to play it on is the 7800.
lkermel #60 Posted April 4, 2006 Tough call...Tough call .... It would probably be my PC Engine system and the Super CDRom module, followed closely by my Sega's Saturn, if only I had more games for it. But it's like asking "if you had to cut all of your fingers off, which one would you keep ?"
brendano #61 Posted April 5, 2006 "if you had to cut all of your fingers off, which one would you keep ?" My left thumb, that way I could still play the 2600. One button controllers do have a few advantages.
darklord1977 #62 Posted April 8, 2006 (edited) sega genesis hands down for my favorite (non atari) classic system sega did a great job on the games and all the systems expansions(sega cd, 32x,power base converter) that kept the genny around for a long time.. favorite atari systems are the 7800 , 5200 (i got a redemption 5200 now so my problem with those crappy joysticks are history) and, the jaguar/with the jag cd favorite current system..goes to the playstation 2 facorite next gen system (so far ) is the x box 360 Edited April 8, 2006 by darklord1977

brendano #65 Posted April 10, 2006 I do not want to know how you would move the stick around though That's easy, I'd simply use my fingerless palm. It'd be real easy if I had a ball-top wico, I could definately wrap my palm around that.
Rik #66 Posted April 10, 2006 Man, that is a hard question! It would be my colecovision, because the games arent as numerous and as easy to find as 2600 system and games, plus you can play 2600 games on the CV anyway, with the 2600 adapter,so for me, the 2600 doesn't count,so ,it would be a toss up between my CV and INTV .I love all my systems,as all have their good points,as well as bad,but because CV games arent as easy to find as INTV or 2600 games,I'd DEFINITELY keep my CV,and to me,the CV has better graphics hands down
JadeETC #67 Posted November 23, 2013 2600, NES, Genesis... Phew... Genesis takes it for being the coolest looking console of all time.
gamecat80 #68 Posted November 23, 2013 My overall favorite game console? NES ColecoVision is a close 2nd though.
homerhomer #69 Posted November 23, 2013 I'm going with the Genesis, even though afterburner, outrun and super hang-on are not perfect ports, I really enjoy Sega arcade games from the 80s.
