krambigmac #1 Posted March 2, 2006 It's bee a long time since I've posted on these boards but I was going through the Giant list and did not find this variation of Video Pinball on there. I also checked the website that is the update to the now outdated list and it wasn't on there either. It's a black picture label from 1981 with the black atari label partially outside the machine and it has no dust cover built in. aka a Cart 3. Either someone broke off the cover or I have a new variation. Any thoughts?
Christophero Sly #2 Posted March 2, 2006 Does it have the open slots underneath the main label near the PCB end?
krambigmac #3 Posted March 3, 2006 Does it have the open slots underneath the main label near the PCB end? 1026954[/snapback] Excuse my ignorance but I'm not really tech oriented with lingo and all that. On the bottom where the circuit board is, to each side, there is a hole and from that hole there is a stick maybe a centimeter long that comes out of it. That isn't on the main label though. I have some red label carts that have 2 other holes on the front that from the inside, I can see the back of the label. If that is what you mean, no I don't have those two holes. Hopefully that helps.

Without those holes underneath the main label, I doubt it's an actual CART 3. Given that the label is ©1981, it's probably just a case of a missing dust flap. I'd have to see a photo to be completely sure.

Do the sticks look like an original integral part of the cartridge, or could they be a later addition (by someone repairing a cart with a missing dust flap)? krambigmac #6 Posted March 3, 2006 OMG I'm an idiot. I just pushed on the sticks a little bit... and up pops a dust cover. I thought I had something too.
