Tempest #1 Posted March 10, 2006 Has anyone tried one of these? http://www.ic2005.com/html/2005/show-40.htm It looks awfully tempting since there's no way most of us can get our hands on those rare PC-Engine games. It would be nice to have 60 of them all on one cart. The website is a bit sketchy on details though. Tempest
+remowilliams #2 Posted March 10, 2006 If that's for real it sure does look cool. I've got one of TotoTEKs PCE flash cards and it is really handy
Bruce Tomlin #3 Posted March 10, 2006 It would be even cooler yet if it supports both PCE and TG16 consoles, with their silly data line swap as a region lockout. From the looks of that web page, it actually does.
zombiecraig #4 Posted March 11, 2006 Someone buy one. Then let me know how it is. If I had more funds currently, I would be all over that. I just blew my wad on the ColecoVision multi.
EricDeLee #5 Posted August 5, 2006 I hate to bump this... but has anyone tried this yet? I am thinking about buying it. Just curious as to which Flash cart is the best for the TG Express I have. I already have a converter to play the PCE games.... but I thought this would be really cool. Any suggestions as to a flash cart would be greatly appreciated. EricDeLee #6 Posted August 5, 2006 Well... thus far I'm leaning towards getting this Flash cart.... It really looks amazing. It is roughly the same size as HU Cards, and isn't ugly like the other one I saw where you use scotch tape as protection. This thing actually has a label and everything. Pretty intriguing... Look at the photos next to a GT system... It states that the card works with the Turbo Express (US version) as well... and I'm really starting to consider this. Has anyone bought one and have an opinion of it? I can't seem to find a review of it anywhere. I would hate to be a 'test subject' but I just may for this item.... If I get this I'll write a full review. Let me know about your current flash carts though.... I'd like to hear about them as well Thank you
EricDeLee #7 Posted August 5, 2006 Am I reading things right? It can be used on the Gameboy Advance as well? Wow....
SteveW #8 Posted August 5, 2006 I'm having a hard time reading the page, the site is rendered so badly it's next to impossible to read.
EricDeLee #9 Posted August 5, 2006 http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1376.0.html That forum has a lot of info..... Still sketchy. I'm thinking about taking a chance though.
boog #10 Posted August 5, 2006 Am I reading things right? It can be used on the Gameboy Advance as well? Wow.... I suspect the GBA connector is to load data via the USB slim loader. My tototek flash cart also has a gba connector and uses an external gameboy flasher to load data onto the flash cart. This looks like a huge improvement over my tototek monstrosity. EricDeLee #11 Posted August 7, 2006 I'm ordering one today.... I'll give a report later....
yuppicide #12 Posted August 7, 2006 (edited) I will buy one on my next paycheck (Aug 18th). So, if Eric gets it first he'll give you his report.. otherwise I will. It does support TG-16. I have been wanting to design something like this for years. Now that this is out I'd like to see one for the Sega Master System. Jagasian #14 Posted August 11, 2006 The same company makes GBA and DS flash carts, and they are developing SNES, Genesis, and N64 flash carts that are supposed to be released sometime in the near future.
Spector #15 Posted August 11, 2006 I'd love to see an NES flash cart. Seems an obvious one to do what with its massive popularity.
EricDeLee #16 Posted August 11, 2006 The PCE FLASH Cart arrived TODAY in Michigan. I am not there right now and won't be until the 3rd of Sept. I will post a review after I play around with it. Thus far: I was happy the shipping was fast. I bet they have some in a warehouse somewhere here in The States....
Dusk2600 #17 Posted August 12, 2006 This looks really neat, i look foreward to hearing how it is Eric...
+remowilliams #18 Posted August 13, 2006 Their cart looks cool. If it's really that good, I may sell my Tototek card and get this one. I'd also love to see an N64 flash card. I've got a Z64 unit (which is very cool) but a flash cart would be handy!

You've got to let me know how this is. I would love to get one of these, as well. Well...as long as the quality is decent...

EricDeLee #24 Posted August 31, 2006 I was told that it will work on the Express... that is why I got it. Anyways... I leave for Michagan (for good this time) on Sat. I will try to test it on Sunday... but there aren't any guarantees that I'll get to it. I will within the next week or so.
