Raccoon Lad #1 Posted October 29, 2001 I forgot about the cards, anyone ever tried putting a SMS game card into the Gamegears cartridge slot? I've never had a game on a card, but from the pics I've seen, they might actually fit.

CosmicJoke #4 Posted October 30, 2001 quoteI keep mine around as a portable Master System/mastersystem backup. Raccoon Lad in a response to a previous post about Game Gear. My question is, do you have any idea which SMS games will work with this Master Gear Converter? Years ago, I moved away from my Mom's place and for some reason left my SMS there. Unfortunately, she only very recently threw it away. So, I would like to play some of these old SMS games on my new Game Gear( I took your advice about buying one). Specifically, I would like to know if some of the SMS RPG's are playable? If anyone has a list of what games will work please post it here. please. please. please. Raccoon Lad #5 Posted October 30, 2001 Did someone call the most powerfull raccoon in the universe? Well mortal, I shall answer your questions. (Ok, I'm being silly today) Anyway, I've never had any problems playing SMS games on the Gamegear, small text can be difficult to read, but I know Phantasy Star is playable/readable on the Gamegear. The only problems I've ever encountered using SMS games on my GG is Space Harrier and Out Run have little tile/graphic glitches on the bottom of the screen, but are otherwise playable. Since the GameGear is actually a compact SMS, there are no known incompatibilites I'm aware of.
Rhindle The Red #6 Posted October 30, 2001 One should point out that the Master System cards, like Ghost House or Transbot do not work with the Master Gear as there is no slot for them.
