Malathion5 #1 Posted October 30, 2001 I came across a "Star Wars the Arcade Game" today and didn't recognize the system it would fit in. The case was a smaller version of a 2600 case, but bigger than Intellivision. The standard Parker Bros case was used, the diagonal lines near the top. The port has 13 contacts on one side and 14 contacts on the other. Any clue?

It could be an Atari 8-bit or Commodore 64 cart, although those are also pretty small and close in size to Intellivision carts (probably narrower, but thicker). Could also be a ColecoVision cart, although those are almost indentical in size to 2600 carts. I don't have any in front of me at the moment, so I can't count the contacts. Is there any way you could take a picture or scan the cart? ..Al
+Mitch #4 Posted October 31, 2001 The Atari 8-bit version has 15 pins on both sides. Sounds like it may be a C64 cart. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
Atari-Jess #5 Posted October 31, 2001 yeah it sounds a bit more like a c64 cart
Ze_ro #6 Posted November 20, 2001 Probably not a C-64 cartridge... I just rooted around for my C-64 carts, and they have room for 22 connections on each side of the cartridge... however, the ones that I have (Made by Commodore) all have 16 connections on one side (the back), and 15 connections on the other, with one of the connections being twice the normal width. All the C-64 games I have (I only have three cartridges) are almost exactly the same size as Intellivision games... same width and height, but slightly fatter. Of course, Parker Bros is known for using their own casing style, so I have no idea what sizes their C-64 games are. --Zero
Ze_ro #7 Posted November 20, 2001 Actually, this probably is a C-64 cartridge after all. If you click through to the cartridge archive at Lemon64 (Warning! Huge amount of pictures on that page), they have a screen shot of it, and it's indeed made by Parker Bros. --Zero
StanJr #8 Posted November 20, 2001 I think I saw a Frogger cart like the one described. The normally silver PB label had a gold tint to it instead. It was smaller than a 2600 cart. Is it a c64 cart?
Albert #9 Posted November 20, 2001 Now that I've been reunited with my collection, I am able to confirm that this is indeed an Atari 8-bit cart. Here are two pictures of Commodore 64 and Atari 8-bit Star Wars: The Arcade Game carts: The Commodore 64 cart (on the left) has 15 contacts on the front and 16 on the rear. The Atari 8-bit cart has 13 on the front and 14 on the rear. ..Al
