Heaven/TQA #1 Posted March 19, 2006 as promissed here is a fullscreen 50 fps bump mapper done by fox in 98 which i have found on my old laptop lying for years... of course source code included... i am sure that fox does not mind to publish the source as bump mapping is nothing special anymore... ps. go and play "jade empire" which is a wonderful great game... mikey #2 Posted March 26, 2006 fast but uses different technique than real lambertian bump mapping. (like e.g. bump at end of numen demo) Anyway, kudos to fox!
Heaven/TQA #3 Posted March 26, 2006 i would say that its nearly the same bump mapper except that the texture is another one??? and there is no moving of the background?
mikey #4 Posted March 27, 2006 i would say that its nearly the same bump mapper except that the texture is another one??? and there is no moving of the background? I don't think so. Take a look at the light 'bulb' In fox's code you can see it , in eru's - you don't, you just see the bumped surface. Maybe the mapper code is similar but it's surely not the same IMO. Heaven/TQA #7 Posted March 28, 2006 i use this method.... source code lies somewhere on a atari ST scsi harddisc... (20MB-disc! jesus...) and the ST is down...
