Rhindle The Red #1 Posted November 11, 2001 Had my first big collecting find in a long while today (really yesterday, it's after midnight). A cream colored TI-99/4A (I still prefer my black & chrome one), 25 games (23 with instructions) and a voice module for $9.99. Unfortunately, no Atari carts. But this means I've got a bunch of TI-99/4A games available. If anyone collects them, e-mail me and I'll put a list of available games together for you. As for the milestone, after entering the TI-99/4A games, I checked my database and I now have (including doubles, etc.) exactly 3000 games. Where am I going to put them all? Atari-Jess #2 Posted November 11, 2001 isn't that a graphing calculator?? if not what is it? (you could always rent a storage cubeish place or build some insulated shed or break some of your walls and put them in a chest in the wall,)
phuckedup #3 Posted November 12, 2001 The TI-83 TI-83+ and TI-90(i'm pretty sure) are graphing calculators. TI-99 is one helluva an old 'puter. At one point in time I had like 6 fully functionig TRS-80s and a Vic20. Unfortunately i wasn't as interested in the things as I am now. I threw them out with the trash. Still got a Kaypro II kicking around though. (I shouldn't really say kicking, it's like 65lbs) Anyways, I came across a BASIC cart a while back that to the best of my knowledge works with an IBM PC jr. I was just wonderinf which old computer systems made use of carts?

No matter how good a find I get, I'm always a little disappointed that it wasn't Atari stuff (All my rarest stuff is non-Atari of course...) quote: As for the milestone, after entering the TI-99/4A games, I checked my database and I now have (including doubles, etc.) exactly 3000 games. I've actually never even seen a TI-99/4A. They must not have been very popular on this side of the border... How did these computers compare to the likes of the Commodore 64 and VIC-20? I'm not even sure what era they fall into... --Zero

I have no idea if that has anything to do with the name of the company. In fact, I have a ton of boxed TI 99/4a's I need to get rid of, if anyone is interested. If you'd like to learn more about the TI 99/4a, I highly suggest you visit 99er.net. This site has a great wealth of TI 99-related information, and I see it's gone through a big overhaul since the last time I visited. ..Al
