The best game and pinball machine.

I am going to invest in a classic arcade game as well as a pinball machine. Which ones should I get?

They're not worth it in terms of investment. Get a machine you like and can either fix up or play. Out of all the arcade machines I've owned past and present, my shuffle bowler and Sunshine pinball machine are my two favorites.

 

Shuffle bowlers can be had inexpensively. Pinballs will run you some money depending on condition and source.

I would just go with anything you can find locally that you like. It will take some searching over a long period of time, but you will get the game you want. And you will start to get a feel for what game you are really looking for the longer you look (i.e. Vector Games, Fighting Games, Maze Games, Redemption Games) You will never know what you want untl you start looking. And having a bunch of people tell you what they would want doesn't mean that you would find it fun, or be able to find it in your area.
