liquid_sky #1 Posted December 14, 2001 I know there are quite a few fans of SNK, so I figured I would ask, out of all SNK games, who is your favorite character? Mine is one im sure I will get a little crap for, Tung Fu Rue. The first time I saw him was when i played Fatal Fury for the first time. I remember laughing my ass off at this little old man in a green cloak, thinking about how easy he was going to be to beat up. I had never even seen the game played before, so I had NO IDEA that he hulked out, and totally kicked my ass by the way. I was always sad that I couldnt play as him. Then I came across Fatal Fury Special, and was delighted to see Tung in the selection menu. I was a little angry when I realized that you couldnt hulk him out, but I played as him anyway. A little later down the line, I played Real bout Fatal Fury, and once again I thought to myself "this game needs Tung". Luckily, SNK didnt let me down, and Tung was in Real Bout Fatal Fury Special. Runner up is also one you all will laugh at, but I always thought the dude in league Bowling kicked ass (does he have a name?) ubersaurus #5 Posted December 16, 2001 Tilt's at southland is selling their little MVS machine. I'd buy it, but college won't let me afford the measly 200 bucks its going for and I want to play KOF 2k1 too! And on that note, Tilts sucks, cuz they got rid of Galaga, KOF 97, and CVS2! My friends and I want to start an arcade ourselves, have everything for a quarter We have connections, Chris Mullins, Former NeoGeo salesmen and a close friend of mine from school, can help us get machines, being the one to first make this idea. Check out the classicgaming Neogeo faq, and who its by, BTW ;p

ubersaurus #12 Posted December 16, 2001 You are in a hotbed of fighters. Detroit and metro have one of the largest fighting game communities in the US.
Lemmi #13 Posted December 16, 2001 Yeah i know all my friends love the fighting games, but they never really appealed to me for some reason, unless it was a side scrolling game like Kung-Fu
Atari-Jess #14 Posted December 16, 2001 we used to have this big X-men vs street fighter thing at the local arcade, but its died now, but no one ever touches Tekken or Tekken 3...*Shrug* i like a good fighting game, 2600 Karate included.
ubersaurus #15 Posted December 16, 2001 Heh, basically for fighters, our major ones will be Capcom vs SNK 2, Street fighter alpha 2 and 3, SF3:3rd strike, Fatal Fury-Mark of the Wolves, and King of Fighters, either 98, 2001, or both. As for classic games, that's undetermined. Ms Pacman/Galaga is a needed one, and I can probably pick up one of the space invaders machiens from one of several people I know who have it around here, but beyond that, I'm stumped over what to get. I should have a poll on digital press and here or something.
liveinabin #16 Posted December 16, 2001 hey, liquid-sky, I've noticed on various threads that you're really after a copy of Shenmue 2. i can't let the Activision challenge man go without one Since I'm in UK (where you can't spit and miss one), I'd be happy to ship one over for you at cost only. mail me if you'd like one and we'll sort it out Cheers dave
ubersaurus #17 Posted December 16, 2001 I'm trying to hurry through the first Shenmue, so I can convert my save to UK, and use it on Shenmue 2.
liveinabin #18 Posted December 16, 2001 I forgot about that Ubersaurus. Can you convert them? I wonder why you'll need it anyway, apart from to continue your plastic toy collection. Oh yeah, theres the list of fighting moves you know, aren't there (its been a while since I played it) Great game
figgler #19 Posted April 21, 2004 I know there are quite a few fans of SNK, so I figured I would ask, out of all SNK games, who is your favorite character? In all of SNK - the brave, brave soldiers of Guerilla War SNK Fighters - probably Earthquake. Not the best to play as, but HUGE and mean looking even in pink
Cootster #20 Posted April 21, 2004 Nicotine the little hunched-over wizard guy from Samurai Showdown. And does Mr. Do count, I think he would . . .?
Raijin Z #21 Posted April 21, 2004 Normally I'd just draw her really fast, but I have better plans for this babe. So until then, SNK art of her. Fio Germi, of Metal Slug.
DeV0 #23 Posted April 21, 2004 Ok, answering to the threads title. My favourite SNK character is Joe from the KOF series. I love to bash the crap out of the punch button for the cammy-esque thousand punches. He also looks like sid vicious in undies
Saikyo #24 Posted April 21, 2004 Has to be Terry Bogard I play as him all the while on Capcom VS SNK 2 for the PS2 his burning knuckle kicks butt!
