Staff: Steve Turner (music) / Andrew Braybrook (everything else)

Overview:

Now, this is one of those "weird" games of the early days. Or should I say "odd"?

In this game you control a frog-type Alien, that has only one foot and no arms. The reason why it can still survive, is because of it's Psi-Powers letting it fly, and it's ability to spit bubbles.

Now this Alien called Gribbly, is searching for a bunch of his children I assume, called Gribblets (see the thre mushroom thingys in the screenshot).

Collect 8 of them and you're done with one of the 16 levels.

Fun in 2006:

I played this for about three hours all in all. I never had it back then, so the first hour was spent learning the controls and finding out what I'm supposed to do. Once past that hurdle, I had fun for a while, and I spent another hour until I beat the first level. The third hour it already started to get a bit boring. Don't get me wrong, I bet I'd have loved it 20 years ago, but this day and age, it doesn't offer enough to keep me entertained any longer. It's also very difficult to master, as the controls are very touchy. The fact that all levels but the first and last are to be played in randomized order also didn't help it. It seemed after those first three hours it turns from "fun" into serious "work" to make some real progress in this game.
