Answer Software Gauntlet and Malagai

Recommended Posts

I wanted to offer these Proms here for sale instead of listing on ebay, as I would like them to go to a serious collector.

I bought the Malagai on ebay..when they were available...and stumbled across the Guantlet off e-bay.

As I understand it, Malagai chips are gone now..and the Gauntlet is very hard to find as the source for this chip has dried up..

I would like them to sell here..and hope I won't have to ebay them..

Let the games begin!!

PM: Can you end the auction early, my little brother who is dying from cancer always wanted a Gauntlet PROM, even though they are pretty worthless. Please let me know! He goes to the college of USA, thanks!

Oops - did I say that out loud?

I would put them away in storage for your kids then in 20 years you can take them out and share them with your grandkids and them sell them for alot of money like $30 each or something!

James Reed who was selling all those Malagai chips was making side offers to also sell Gauntlet for $99 and combine shipping. He commented on how the last one on EBAY had sold for about $190 which was true and also revealed that he has multiple seller accounts on EBAY because you could see it was his own auction. In any case, maybe it was a good deal, but I did not want to spend the extra $99.

He also has one roll of 15 of the Malagai proms that he would sell for $10.00 a prom if someone would take all 15 at one time..I asked him how many of the Gauntlet..and he told me this was the last one as I inquired about buying multiple proms..

So if anyone wants the Malagai proms..they might be showing up on ebay soon..if no one takes all of them...

Dusk..I would bet you are right...even if the seller had 30-35 proms in the total including how many those he had already sold..

How many actual games were released and sold..

I would bet..more than 30, I am sure someone here would know for sure..

these are a great deal, 25.00 for the chip, 2 for a 24 pin connector, im gonna soldier mine 2day, the game is a 9 or 10 i forget, the chip is the game so it should hold the same rarity, but not the same value.

Once the Malagai proms are gone..I am sure the cost will go up..How high..who knows?

As far as the Gauntlet prom....I tried buying more...but he said he did not have any more... So those proms are gone..

I felt I got a great deal... but I am selling off all my atari stuff...except for about 200 commons and my heavy sixer..

Here is the link to the Gauntlet.. It is the only one an auction...

Well, on April 6th Mr. Reed sold me a Gauntlet chip for $100 USD shipped. In all honesty I found him to be courteous and very professional so I'll say he is a good person to deal with, and I now have both a Malagia and Gauntlet on prom chips. Like Shawn Sr. said it's not in the same category as a cart, but it is still a nice piece for my collection. :) That being said perhaps he has more, who knows. If anyone needs one it could be a good opportunity to pick one up cheap.
