Bill Brasky #1 Posted April 1, 2006 I think the CV version has hundreds of levels/screens and I never tried going through them all. Is there an ending in this game or does it just cycle through to dungeon #1?
+remowilliams #2 Posted April 1, 2006 I don't believe it has an ending. I think it keeps repeating one of the levels once you reach a certain point. IIRC It's been a while
Pixelboy #3 Posted April 1, 2006 Y'know, I'm not even sure there are 99 actual levels in G2A. The game lets you choose a number between 1 and 99 between levels, but I seem to remember going through the same level more than once during a game, with different items and monsters, so either the levels are truly randomly generated in RAM (using the 1-99 number as a randomizer seed), or the 1-99 number is used to randomly select one of several pre-defined mazes encoded into the cart. Finding the answer to this question could be an interesting challenge, which I may actually tackle one of these days...
danwinslow #4 Posted April 1, 2006 Not really. The levels are randomly generated if I recall.
NovaXpress #5 Posted April 1, 2006 (edited) The Atari 800 version has 8 dungeons with 16 levels each. When you enter 1-16, you choose which level of the current dungeon to start in. When you finish dungeon 1-16, you move onto dungeon 2-1.The game ends when you finish dungeon 8-16 (never done it myself). In the Coleco version, each of the eight levels has 99 dungeons, thats the one where you choose 1-99. I've never bopthered playing past the first level on the Coleco version. It's probably not random but with a lot of repeats. Edited April 1, 2006 by NovaXpress
