However, they probably wouldn't do it for an OS prior to that. So of those requesting a Mac Version, what OS would you be running? Has anyone tried Cart Commander in Virtual PC? As for a Linux version, maybe. I own Kylix and have played with it. After 2.0 is out, I will take a serious look at what its going to take to port it. I would like to keep one code base for both versions, but I'm not sure how thats going to work yet. I know that there are some differences that will cause me to write additional code. Has anyone tried Cart Commander in Wine for Linux? Thanks.
ubersaurus #27 Posted January 22, 2002 You should add the Stella Gets a New Brain cd under 2600.

I'm not sure how I would classify that as it has stuff for the PC and has more than 1 game if I'm not mistaken. Although, it could be treated like a double ender or multi cart. Although, if you wanted to, you could just as easily add it to your list. Just because it's not in the Master List doesn't mean you can't have it in your list. This has given me an idea for Master lists. I am going to break the master lists down into: Official Releases Proto Types Homebrew Special The code will actually allow you to have an infinite number of master lists broken down into any way you feel fit. If you wanted, the master lists could be broken down into a list per Manufacturer, but that might be a little overboard.
Muddawg #29 Posted January 23, 2002 I think that u should also have the Super NES and Amiga as the systems. They are musts. Because me (and ALOT) of other people have em!

The only two versions out right now are 1.0 and 1.1 (File Format), Cart Commander 2.0 will be version 1.2 for the File Format. You will only be able to READ the older versions of CC files, you won't be able to write older versions. This means that someone using 1.3.0.5 will NOT be able to read 2.0.0.6 and higher files. The easy solution is to upgrade to the latest version when it comes out.

After looking into this, I may hold off on this until 2.1 as it complicates a few things since that information is normally kept as a boolean value which has two states. True or False. This will require changes to the data type and the handling of the new data type. Its not difficult, just may have a larger impact then what I want to deal with right now. Its been added to the Wish list.
