How long has it taken you to put your collection together?

About 15 years ago I sold my entire childhood 2600 collection (about 100 carts) for almost nothing but I came back with a vengeance around 2004. Although my collection is far from complete I have around 300 carts for my 2600. I managed to get some of the better ones at a decent price by purchasing games with torn or missing labels, you can always get a better one down the road.
