Cleaning off NES games

Recommended Posts

I ws wondering how you guys that collect NES games clean off those millions of stickers that every rental place has stuck on them over the years?

the stickes that annoy me the most is the ones that are silver and when you try to pull them off the word VOID still stays on the cart, also now Funcoland is sticking price tags on the labels of there games (cheap lasy ass')

and im looking for ideas that dont use Goo Gone (i know its good stuff), im looking for around the house stuff in general, stuff like that

My way hurts my fingers

I want to know too, I have a couple like that myself. Funcoland's price tags aren't too bad though. Once I got a Metal Gear with a Ninja Turtles sticker over the label. Took me a half hour to pul it off safely.

Wonder if Funco still has Ikari Warriors.

Even easier, just use lighter fluid. Dab a little on the sticker you are trying to remove, let it sit for 5 miutes and voila! no rubbing or elbow grease required most of the time.

Of course, some of us don't smoke, nor would we keep something flammable around like lighter fluid if we did. :D

Come on man, don't be so cheap. Goo Gone is the best cleaning solution for the job, specially silver "void" labels. Just a couple of drops and with a few wipes the silver goes right off. Besides, the product isn't expensive and one bottle will last you for years.

Lighter fluid I say! Cheaper and easier to find. It does the same thing for stickers and has other uses.

I stand by gasoline and lighter fluid as the best. It even gets rid of those old Blockbuster stickers, and those are like car registration stickers

lol I thought I was the only one who tried to take all the stickers off. What I really hate is when the instructions have been lamenated by a rental place...
