rehooking up the atari 2600

i am cleaning out and desided to hook up the 2600 again. ok so i got it going into my 5 way gaming switch box. 1 wire i guess it goes into the video (Red) port. but is that all i have to connect besides the power pack? do i need a special converter for this ? its been too long since i had this hooked up

You need a coax converter for your RCA cord. It's not a video cord it's just a coax with the wrong end on it to put it simple. That is unless yo have an AV moded system. ATARIAGE store sells the Item you need. Just look in the store under 2600 hardware for sale.

The stock 2600 does not have seperate audio/video (composite) lines. Only a single RF line. This would connect to a television's RF input...such as the antenna or cable television input. But otherwise, all you need is to connect the power adapter and plug it in.

they sell the adapter at the atariage store also i believe radio shack has the swith board for newer tv's you will need a small adapter with small prongs on it like the old tv's had on the adpter it also has where you connect it to cable outlet those are the two avaible option's by today's tv standards.
