+Omegamatrix #4 Posted April 14, 2006 Hi Josh, Welcome to AA! Most of the best games for the 2600 are among the most common. You have a good start already, and to recommend a few more games to try off the top off my head: Asteroids Pitfall! Yars Revenge Jr. Pac-Man Kaboom! (paddle controllers) Frogger Enduro Spider Fighter Fast Food Solar Fox Turmoil Jungle Hunt Indy 500 (driving controllers) Missile Command Astroblast (paddle controllers) There are many more great games, but these are all dirt cheap and a lot of fun to play. Good on you for collecting Atari!
Lord Thag #5 Posted April 15, 2006 In some ways, having a small collection makes it much easier to just sit down and play Atari. When you get a whole bookcase full of games, it gets kinda hard to pick Have fun and enjoy the process. There's a whole world of great gaming out there on the 2600. Starhopper #6 Posted April 15, 2006 Welcome to the fold! I would like to also recommend Solaris, Pitfall! II, and (though it is usually underrated) Warlords.
jpfalcon2003 #7 Posted April 15, 2006 Welcome to AA. Very nice starting collection. You can find out lots of info. on games and screenshots of games on here if you are having trouble deciding what games to get next. Actually, alot of the great games are commons and fairly inexpensive. They're alot of fun too. I'd start with some like those. They will keep you occupied for a while because they are alot of fun. If you have any questions about any games, let me know. I will be happy to help.
