How do you take care of valuable games?

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody, I started collecting Atari games a few years back and as my collection grows so does the rarity of some of my games. I was wondering what people do to prevent your rare games from showing signs of wear as time goes on. Should you store them in plastic? Does the temp or location of the room matter? (basement, upstairs) I currently have them displayed on a shelf in a large upstairs closet but with summer coming up the temp up there can get hot so I usually move them downstairs until winter. Maybe I'm over reacting but I would like to keep these games looking mint as long as possible. If anyone knows how to properly store Atari games I could use some advice, Thanks.

I keep mine in a clear sliding storage container box. I have lots of rare ones, and I've had no problems.
