Unfortunately you can only use up to six characters on custom plates here in Texas. Although STELLA would be cool, but I bet that's already been taken. And AtariAge doesn't fit either. I could have gotten STELLA 1 in California, as they allow for seven letters. But given that's where Atari started (and so many Atari-related companies followed), I bet that one's not available either. Oh, wait! California has an online license-plate database! Let me go look...

Both STELLA1 and STELLA are unavailable in California. No big surprise there. So what other clever, six-character Atari-related license plates can you guys come up with?

Hmmm think that plate is from John Hardie's car taken while at NAVA. I have ATARI-8 on the car and COINOP on the truck. Both ATARI and ARCADE were taken which were what I was going to get tho honestly I like COINOP better.

Ok I give I can't get the pics to load up. Geocities won't load up and http://aland.roarvgm.com no longer allows off-site links

I just got my Texas plates (to replace the California plates I had on my car for a year) and finally took advantage of the Atari license plate bracket I picked up at last year's Classic Gaming Expo. Here's how it looks on the car:

Has anyone else adorned their car with anything classic-gaming related?

I think you're right, as I know John lives in New York and I know he has a Lincoln. And those are definitely New York plates. There's another NAVA meeting later today, ironically.

I have the Atari license plate on the back of my Civic. I had the Atari on Board sign on the back of my wife's Odyssey but it kept falling off whenever she opened the hatch so now it adorns a window in the front of my house. One of the minor reasons that I bought the Odyssey in 1998was because I was planning to drive up to visit Ralph Baer so I wanted to 'compare' Odysseys with him.

The Odyssey also has a Williams license plate that I picked up at E3 but it's completely faded.

And of course, both cars have a Phoenix 2nd edition magnet on the back of them!

I have a Saturn with the "I'd Rather Be Playing Atari Games" plate bracket. Andmy plates? They read:

"AT 2600"

There's a photo of it someplace on the Digital Press site....
