RSS Bot #1 Posted April 20, 2006 Hi there! So, today I decided to not buy a 7800 and to not collect its games. After some bad experiences with the Odyssey 2 and the Intellivision, I decided to check out the entire available PAL library _BEFORE_ buying it this time Over the past half year, I then played through the complete library. I joined the HSC for that first, but when it started repeating, I decided to continue at a faster pace on my own. The idea was simple: If I find 10 enjoyable titles, I'm gonna buy it! Well, in the end I found only these 6: Commando: Incredibly good conversion, a lot beter than on the NES for example. Food Fight: Unique conversion of a top Arcade! Ikari Warriors: Just like Commando, great conversion of a great game. Galaga: Great conversion of... you got the idea, no? Donkey Kong: First version of DK I really enjoyed. Beating Nintendo in their own game! Ninja Golf: One of a kind. I'm almost tempted to tag it with "cult" game. Well, well. 6 excellent games. 6 brilliant games. 6 games worth owning, definitely. Still it's not enough. 6 games are not making me want to own yet another system. So here's the list of classic systems I decided to activley collect for: Atari 2600 Colecovision Nintendo Entertainment System Sega Master System Genesis Super NES Nothing too exotic, also just the most successful systems it seems, yet they've won their markets for good reasons and with respectable game releases.
