I'm looking for other websites that are as comprehensive and detailed as atariage. spacificly for Nintendo, Sega, and Commodore. where can I find such websites?

It has a list for the NES, but what I really need are detailed specs. I want to know what that expansion port on the bottem does, I want to know which of the chips inside are which. I want to know what the maximum lenght of the joypad cords are. I want a comprehensive history of the NES and detailed hardware specs.

-Pretty long-

I once used a 200 ft. computer network cable (free when our company trashed it's old system), cut it into 2 100 ft. cords, and spliced an old pad on each. Since the main A/V system in the family room was rigged to run all inputs into any room, the kids could play Mario in their bedroom without moving anything when we were watching something else. This probably won't work with telephone cord though, since the gauge on that wire is so low.

that is very interesting, having a cord so long you could play the video-game in the family-room while you were in the closet with the door closed! sorry. but really! 100 ft! thats VERY long!
