Albert #1 Posted March 18, 2002 http://www.cgexpo.comThe dates for this year's Classic Gaming Expo have been announced as August 10th and 11th. The show, now in its fifth year, will be held at the Jackie Gaughan's Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas. CGE2K2's organizers are promising this will be the best show ever, and with the 30th anniversary of Atari and the 25th of the 2600 this year we expect it will be a great deal of fun. Many previously unreleased games as well as many new homebrew titles are expected to make their debut at the show. It's not too early to pre-register, and you can read the full press release here. Vegas in nice in August Yes, thanks for dredging up those memories. Last year was the first time I attended CGE and it does get quite warm in the summer. Why someone decided to build a city in the middle of the desert I'll never understand. I drove to Vegas last year (from California), and I had a ton of games for trading in the back of my car. I'm surprised they didn't turn into a puddle of melted plastic the first day of the show when my car was sitting in the parking lot of the Plaza. They were in my car because a friend and I stayed at the Luxor down on the strip, so I had to leave my games in the car. This year I'll be staying in the Plaza!! ..Al
