Crazy Climber #1 Posted April 26, 2006 Hey Atari players, I collect 2600 games and do the majority of my shopping online, I have checked the web for any retail stores in my area that sell classic games and have found one or two but not much. My question is if there is anybody from or familiar with Minnesota that knows any good places to find stuff. I dont expect anyone to give away any secret stash locations but if it is a known store it would be cool if you could help me out. There is alot of commons I need and its kind of fun to go hunt for them and when you include shipping they can get a little over priced on Ebay, etc. Anyways let me know if you can help me out, Thank you. Room 34 #2 Posted April 26, 2006 All I know is that every place I've looked I've never found ANYTHING. (Not that I've tried that hard -- I pretty much assume there's nothing anywhere.) Spongebue will probably mention Discland in Bloomington. They actually do have quite a few carts for old systems -- 2600, Intellivision, 5200, even Odyssey II. But the prices are a little high ($9.99 for Adventure is the most jawdropping example) and most of the labels are all faded from having been in the sun too long (even though they're not in the sun now). They do have a lot of NES/SNES/Game Boy stuff though. I've been there several times but for some reason I rarely buy anything.
Crazy Climber #3 Posted April 26, 2006 Thats one of the places I went to and I did notice the faded TEXT label Adventure for 10 bucks also a very heavy Acti-plaqued Snoopy and the red baron for 20 bucks (Behind the glass like it was something special) and about a hundred horribly faded or ripped commons from 4.00 to 7.00 a piece. Theres a place called Cedar Cliff that has a lot of rare ones but WAY over priced, 45.00 for Star Wars the Arcade game, 200.00 for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 150.00 for Mr. Do's castle and 150.00 for Q-berts Qubes that was missing about 40% of the label were a few that I remember although credit given for a great selection the condition of most games was pretty poor. I was afraid that there was not much around here and it looks like I may be right, Oh well plenty of online shopping availible. Thanks.
