VidGameKing #1 Posted March 17, 2002 Ok, i just went down to the local flea market and bought a NES for eight bucks it included: NES console AC adaptor A/V hookups Cable hookup two standard controllers orenge light gun NES Max Controller Duck Hunt/Super Mario Bros (combined cart) Bases Loaded all for eight bucks! anyways here is my problem, and it's not a very big one but i'm very new to NES so i dont know. I've completely tooken apart the NES and found that one of the pins on the cart connector to be not in ne condition, it's a-little broken, It still works but it dosent look up to my standards. I found that the cart conncetor slides off the mainboard like as if the mainboard was a cart (thought that was cool) but where do I find new ones? or ones that are in really good condition? I'd like to replace it and make it like-new. but i need parts. where do i buy the parts?
CaliColts #2 Posted March 17, 2002 You can get brand new connectors cheap on ebay, here's a link to one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1339149140 They are easy to replace. Also get a cleaning kit and you should have few problems if you keep your game and system clean. I have around 100 games for NES priced from $4 - $10 + shipping. If you need games send me a list and I will see if I have it. Have fun with your new NES, they are great!!!!! [email protected]

CaliColts #4 Posted March 18, 2002 The cleaning kits I have used will clean carts and the game connector. I recommend finding the nintendo kit if you can.
Kong #5 Posted March 23, 2002 I have replaced this connector on some of my NES's. I got them of eBay. They worked great. You actually don't even need to push the cartridge down with the connectors that I bought. You just slide it in and turn the system on. That should save on some of the wear and tear on those connectors.
