Sharky #26 Posted February 5, 2003 I used to own a RCA Studio and my was in Color. I found Bowling too easy to play. These days I emulate RCA Studio but it only emulates the Black and White Version. This is how Space Invaders looks like (well on my emulator) My real RCA Studio II looked like this. (I had to Colorise this image as it was originally Black and White. Well, I knew there had been a prototype, did'nt know it went commercial though. Very cool!

George Gray #29 Posted February 6, 2003 It's a real graphics dogfight versus the Channel F, eh?! Oh man! Be still my beating heart! [The pulse is pounding...the sweat running down the brow] Channel F! Wins by a pixel! Seriously, I know that Zircom (?) kept the thing alive until, like, 1983 or so. Were there any other arcade rip off's put out for it? I am ashamed to admit it, but my knowledge of actual Channel F games is limited to the first 6 or so carts. Enlighten me, please! MrRetroGamer #30 Posted February 6, 2003 Alien Invasion was about as arcade at it got for the Channel F system! They did have a Lunar Lander/Galactic Space Wars cart also, but others like Slot Machine, Football (one of the few carts with actual "music"), Poker, and Bowling were not very arcade-like. Then there were the "educational" carts, like Math Quiz 1 and 2 and MindReader, and don't forget about Hangman too! Oh, there was a Breakout type game too, and a pretty OK version of "Battleship". That's pretty much what I figured. I was surprised the Space Invaders clone made it out. But then, what would a console be with out some kind of space invaders clone? Well...I guess the original Odyssey did'nt, but then it was not a true programmable either.
