Any word on Chris Wilkinson's 2600 A/V mod?

Recommended Posts

Just finally get everything in my house to a place where i could play my 2600 again, and its on r/f and looking like pure unfiltered arse, and I was longing for the audio/video goodness I had when using my adam + 2600 module (dont have room to support that monster setup anymore, esp. since it required the adam + printer + 2 vcrs to get a seperate audio out to go with the video,)

if not that one, is there some other solution?

also like something easy for my inty 2, 7800 & 5200 (I have no solder skillz.)

8bitdomain is very unreliable. I have to say about the worst service I have ever received on the net or elsewhere. I would take my chances with the devil before dealing with them again. At least with the devil I would know who I was dealing with. I basically was taken for a loss of a lot of money from 8bitdomain.

Those look nice. I have one of Chris' Cybertech cards and love it - the only thing I didn't care for was soldering those itty bitty wires onto the board.

I sent you a private message on information of a guy who can mod your Intellivision. He also does Coleco mods. I am not sure about the other systems.

You can also try this place. I haven't used them but they have been recommended by other members.

Don't forget about DoubleDown. He does mods as well.

Yes, they are extemely slow, but Al is trying to work out a deal to sell those products in the AA store.

It isn't just that they are slow. Milke sold me 3 a/v modded systems that I paid $225 for (see below)

Note:Hi Mike, I have added $10 for the Colecovision power supply and the additional shipping because of the power supply. Please let me know when this ships and by what carrier. thanks, Sean

I paid for these on October 10th last year. He didn't ship them until November 2nd. I never did receive the cables that I paid for for my 5200 mod. The Colecovision and the 5200 system arrived with problems. The Colecovision 2nd controller port didn't work and I had to pay someone else to fix it. My 5200 system still doesn't work. The controller port is broken and the system doesn't keep score correctly. Basically I feel as if he ripped me off. I wouldn't deal with him ever again. For $225 I should have received stuff that worked and it should have shipped sooner.

Oh crap. I went to buy one of these as soon as I read the thread. My computer crashed though and I thought I'd just try again later. Now after reading what Sean has said I completely changed my mind. Thanks for the heads up Sean. I hope that Al can get these in as I really would like one.

I'm still waiting for an 8bit loaner mod to review on my mod comparison site. But I don't think it's ever going to show up.
