Please help me with trackball problem for Golden Tee

Recommended Posts

Maybe someone can help me with this. I have a game called Eagle Shot Golf in my gameroom while its a fun game nobody seemed to want to take the time to learn how to play it, they would all say "You should get Golden Tee" So I ended up buying a Golden Tee 97 Jamma board. The problem I have is the trackball adapter that plugs in to the Jamma board has a large fitting on the end that will not fit even if I really try to push it on, its just the wrong plastic adapter. This wiring is only about a two foot long piece that can easily be unhooked from the trackball wiring because it has a seperate adapter in the middle attaching it to my 3'' Happ trackball. Im sure they must sell this section of wire with the adapter I need on the end of it but I have no idea what it is called or where you get it. The best way to describe it is a 2' length of wire that connects on one end to the trackball wire harness and on the other end to the jamma board. If anyone can has this for sale or knows where to get it or maybe I dont even need it? If its possible to fix with out that would be cool to all I know is I am getting nowhere fast trying to fix this one, Please help me if you can, Thank you.

Call HAPP (888-BUY-HAPP (289-4277)) directly about it. They have a tech section that can talk you through it. I would not rule out a cut and splice if you could get the wiring pinouts for the trackball/board.

Just an idea.

If you rig it so that only vertical movement is registered, you will hit the longest shots you've ever seen (this trick was the center of a Golden Tee cheating scandal a few years back).

That sounds like a good idea, now if I could rig some kind of toggle switch so I can turn it on and off I would totally kick ass at my next party.

Just got off the phone with happ, I guess my Golden Tee 97 is to old for any of the chicks that work there to help me with. They just keep talking about USB ports and hooking it up to a PS2 :x All I need is the wire harness that plugs in one end to the JAMMA board and the other end to the trackball wire harness. Its a 3" Happ track ball I will pay some one ten bucks finders fee if they know where one of these are for sale(assuming it works when I get it) please help THANKS

Thanks,it might be out of my league but Ill read up on it and see what happens. I cant believe that nobody sells a wire harness for the jamma board to the trackball for a 97 golden tee? This doesnt seem unreasonable, does it?
