Myst...?

I have been googling like mad and can find a place to download the first myst for mac....anybody know where I could find it? some nostelgia kicked in and I feel the need to play..

It's not abandonware, so it's not online anywhere. You might have to hit a few thrifts or maybe some stores like Half-Price Books to locate a copy. Or, make a post in the Wanted section of the forum. I've got a copy, but I have no idea where on Earth it is, otherwise i'd send it to you.

I'm not sure about those. They probably aren't abandonware either, considering they've put out new versions in the past several years. You might be able to find a copy on an Apple II site, and play it through an emulator.

usually Myst can be found in like the 1 dollar area of used game shops, esp if its for the computer. Ill keep an eye out for the mac version though if i find it. Saturn and psone copies are here and there.

If all else fails you can always pick up the more recent PC version. Probably won't give you the full Mac / nostaligia fix, but it'll help a little. I picked up the Masterpiece Edition of the game for a cool $3 at a local Big Lots, and I've seen it at some other places around in the bargain bins.

 

However, if you insist on the Mac version, then by all means I'd say eBay. I really wouldn't know of where else you might try. But good luck in either case.

Or you could, you know, check the creator's website and click the cleverly hidden 'purchase' button and follow the links to 'macintosh'....
