Shawn #2 Posted May 6, 2006 (edited) Soilder job looks pretty rough and you put the 1uf cap on the wrong side of the board. No that it can't go on that side but it will make for much easier removal of the EPROM especilly seeing as you have a socket there. Just remember caps are made out of Ceramic and they can crack if they get banged around. Best of luck finishing your project. EDIT: Hope you didn;t have any data on that EPROM when you put it threw the scanner If you did I would suggest erasing the chip, reburning it and putting a peice of tape over the window to be sure your data stays safe. You're right, it can go on either side and it doesn't really matter. It's not in the way of the socket, although it does get in the way of ZIF sockets (in which case I would not even solder the cap on the board). ..Al Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
