Atari-Jess #1 Posted April 12, 2002 Yes, that one toy that DARED compete the gameboy back in 91'-92' is finally mine! The thing is bloody awesome and I can easilly see how these barcode games became so popular in japan. the UK version had a better story and characters though you buggers. Whats funny is that a Jurassic Park III game using barcodes as dinosaurs is coming out soon. Im gonna get that too hopefully. Im looking for some more info about it though like what is that port on the side do? power plug? headphone jack? ima not touchin it till i knows what it is. for those not in the know barcode battler was a barcode reader toy that turned barcodes into a turn based numerical RPG game. with spells and items. (just found a barcode that gives 2700 defence) its sweet.
liveinabin #2 Posted April 12, 2002 I always found that, instead of cutting out the barcodes on cereal packets, it was always more fun to battle with the actual full boxes - they hurt more that way
