Cybergoth #1 Posted April 18, 2002 Hi there! I just finished uploading the page about G.I. Joe on the Epyx Shrine, featuring an interview with Jeff , one of the original programmers! Of course the other usual features (manual/SID/versions) are there as well. Be sure to vote in the poll, while you're visiting :-) Not to forget, feel free to contribute to the new Epyx MP3 or Adscan sections. Or be welcome to submit any Epyx Hiscore... I'm still searching people with Spring '85 or any '86 Epyx catalogs, who are willing to scan them... BTW: I recently bought Epyx winter '85 catalog, which I'll soon have scanned and added in the catalogs section. Enjoy, Manuel [ 04-18-2002: Message edited by: Cybergoth ]
Tempest #2 Posted April 18, 2002 I remeber GI Joe! My brother was a big GI Joe fan back then (I was into Transformers), so naturally we had the game. We had the "crappy" Apple IIe version, which really isn't that bad if you've never played the C64 version (aka You don't know what your missing, so it seems good). Back then I was convinced the game had an ending sometime, and all I had to do was keep catching guys and eventually they would stay in jail. Oh well, I guess I know the truth now... I remember I could never get the hang of those vehicle sections, so I avoided those like the plauge. Maybe they were just poorly implimented on the Apple? Maybe they were just poorly implimented on the Apple? No, they're damn hard / next to impossible on the C64, too. I've never ever managed to finish one of the levels with the plane. On a few rare occassions I've won with the helicopter or one of the ground vehicles. When you finish one of these, all your guys are freed from Jail. Man-2-man combat is definately way more fun!
