8th lutz #1 Posted May 10, 2006 The Link is http://www.gamesradar.com/gb/ps3/game/news...§ionId=1006. According to this article, Tech support was there. There was blank Screen. I hope this isn't what when I thought about ps 3 having some type of trouble for the first shipments of systems. It appeared to be a dre. Very nice, I hope this doesn't happen when consumers pay $499.00 or 599.00 in the United States. If does, consumers will be angry.
MCHufnagel #2 Posted May 10, 2006 I can't believe that a Sony game console would have DRE problems! To be fair, has any of the major sites reported this?
joeybastard #3 Posted May 10, 2006 (edited) These are development kits running these games, cut them some slack. Edited May 10, 2006 by joeybastard

Yeah! if they had wanted a system with a high failure rate at launch, they would have bought a 360. POW! It's open season on/for all fanboys.
Atarifever #5 Posted May 10, 2006 Minorly irritating for Sony for sure (as I'm sure any little technical glitches are for any company there), but I doubt it has any significance regarding the final product. The first shipments definitely will have problems like that, as that's the name of the game with a new piece of hardware, but I doubt this implies that there will be a higher defect rate than what's to be expected or anything. 8th lutz #6 Posted May 10, 2006 I can't believe that a Sony game console would have DRE problems! To be fair, has any of the major sites reported this? Game Radar is the only one. To be fair, the other sites may not be at the game at the same time. I know the media was covering sonic, The reason why it wasn't mentioned was Game Radar could've been the first to see play sonic in action. They went there right away after the Press conference with Sony. The rest of the media of the gaming sites weren't playing it at that time and they didn't know the delay or played it the day after The conference. It's the name of the game? Sorry, but Sony and Microsoft are the only game companies I can remember to consistently launch buggy as shit, overheating consoles. brpocock #10 Posted May 10, 2006 buggy as shit, overheating consoles. Apparently the Game Cube can overheat if you leave it running for a few weeks outdoors in Florida in the summer. (Morning fog and dew is the norm, so add also the equivalent of 2" of rain spread out over time.) However, it shuts itself off nicely when it gets tired of the abuse and still works fine once it's dried out and cooled off...
