Red 5 #1 Posted May 12, 2006 Took a chance, but for $26.00 ($0.52 a game) I figured it was worth the risk. Wife confirmed I got the package today and it does have at least 50 games in the box. I love boxes like this. Sure, there is a 99% chance I have all these titles (in which case they are trade bait) but the excitement of a possible rarity in there makes it all worth it. I will post what I get later tonight. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 (I hope the bottle cap comes with it.)
phaxda #2 Posted May 12, 2006 Good luck! I always like buying big old lots and seeing what's in them. Sometimes I get a bit singed, but at .50 apiece you really can't go wrong! There were some pretty good deals on stuff like this following the ten cent listing day. I pulled the trigger on a couple of BINs and now am awaiting some 200 games...just because there were a few nice games in there that made it all worth it. Definitely more fun than just buying them one by one, and sometimes I come out OK on the resale even though I am not an evil reseller. Really! It's teflon tape on the left, but also looks like a plastic bottle cap on the right.
Wester #5 Posted May 12, 2006 (edited) I almost bid on that too, but I'm broke. I looked at it for a good long time though trying to convince myself to do it. Good Luck! Edited May 12, 2006 by Wester
Red 5 #6 Posted May 13, 2006 Noting but commons, but interestingly enough, a Crack'Ed, Xevious, and DK Jr. for the 7800 and a Qix for the 5200. Only 3 label variations I didn't have. Look for about 50 commons for trade in the marketplace soon.
Wester #7 Posted May 13, 2006 I bet it was exiting opening up that box though. I love mystery lots. It's hard to find ones that are actually real and not just someones spare commons they are pawning off as estate finds or something.
taxman #8 Posted May 13, 2006 MORE WILL BE ADDED AS BIDDING GOES. If bidding reaches $40.00 seller will throw in game system and controllers. I have a ton of controllers! Seems to me that there was a good chance that they were cherry picked first if the seller has all this stuff, but is selling these games for their "sister"
Red 5 #9 Posted May 13, 2006 At least they weren't all doubles. (only three were doubles. Asteroids and combat of course) And 54 unique common titles for $25.99 is okay by me. There was a Football: Realsports Soccer that I didn't have and didn't even know existed. I thought I finished my RealSports titles so that was a nice surpise. A couple of common sears picture labels that I didn't have. All the games work, so I can trade them or flip them for $ to buy games I don't have. And yes, it was VERY fun pulling out cart after cart hoping for a Quadrun. (even if the rarest thing I got was Soccer. )
