Masters of the Universe: The Power of He-Man

Recommended Posts

Just got this in the mail today from Ebay.

At first I couldn't even get it to play because when you have it B Difficulty it freezes the game. Why would they do this? Very weird.

The title screen is one of the best I have ever seen for an Atari game, they have a nice big picture of Prince Adam and then he turns to He-Man, with the music which is also incredibly good for Atari standards playing in the background. It actually sounds just like the music from the cartoon.

The first part of the game is pretty hard but I figured it out and beat it. Kind of repetive though you go through shot hunter seekers before they can get you and then shoot the person/thing/animal/robot whatever it is afterwards. You fly for 30 miles until you reach Greyskull.

The second part of it you are He-man and have to walk between barrier walls and avoid Skeletors giant laser blasts.

Supposedly there is a second screen after you beat Skeletor but I haven't got to see it, maybe because I shot the fire button. I will try it again.

Has anyone seen the He-man screen after you beat Skeletor?

Overall not a bad game, pretty average but the title screen and the simple fact that it's He-man and i'm a huge huge fan of him and Skeletor and everything that has to do with them.

Would like to discuss this game so please leave your comments.

Left difficulty is a pause switch.

A great innovation, since now, every game has a pause switch.

After you beat skeletor, you get what I consider the best 'eye candy' in any Atari game.

Full screen of He-man holding the sword over his head with the theme music playing.

Make sure you don't hit the fire button after beating skeletor.

Great game, but gets way too easy too quickly.

Awesome I figured out why I didn't see the screen before, I kept hitting the fire button when I tried to hit Skeletor but you only have to touch him.

I think it's safe to say this game has some of the best graphix moments in any Atari game.

How many levels have you guys went through? It seems mega hard after you first beat Skeletor, I can only make it to the second level where it is dark outside.

Yeah - I think this is a cool game too.... Fun on several levels - varied gameplay and the tie in with "He-Man" makes it a must own.

I agree, He-man is a great game. I always forget and hit the fire button to kill Skeletor as well, and then always get mad when I don't get the cool victory screen.

Great game. One of the best M-Networks!
