brpocock #1 Posted May 18, 2006 (edited) Some time ... late '80's, possibly early '90's, there were a series of adverts. At the time I was subscribed to several game and computer magazines, so I don't know the publication, but it was a glossy colour print, not newsprint inside. At least partly. These particular adverts were each on two pages, quarter-page ads. On the first page would be a harmless barnyard animal, cartoon illustration, with a "Dick and Jane" "Captain Obvious" caption... "Polly is a sheep. Polly says, 'baa.' " On the second page following, in the same quarter-page space (like a flip-book), would be the same animal, anthropomorphized slightly into a superhero or villain of some kind. "Polly likes to dress in leather and humiliate cattle" with the sheep in a bustière looking like The Poodle de Sade. I've lost the scans of the ads and can't recall the title. Anybody else remember there? PS: Yes, this was an advert for a videogame. Edited May 18, 2006 by brpocock
