Classic system video mod question.

Hi there. I've a question regarding the composite and s-video mods for systems like the Coleco and Atari 7800. Will they help remove any unwanted artifacting (like say, some blue fringing on the playfield for "Midnight Magic" on the 2600)? It's just the games do have a noticable amount of color fringing when I play.. and being someone who's going to minor in digital imaging it's becoming quite an eyesore on my TV.

They generally improve picture quality and sharpness, but you will still have some distortion.

 

The display setup you use can make a difference too (e.g. VCR/TV, TV, monitor, capture card).
