SMS Light phaser problem

I just bought a Sega Master with the light phaser. Aiming seem to be off. When I enter my name in Gangster Town, I'm aiming right on the letter and it's shooting to the right. Could this be a normal behavior? If not, maybe I have a bad light phaser?

if you have a bad light phaser then so do i. The safari hunt game i can't hit anything without being about a foot from the tv and once I get to lvl 3, its impossible to hit anything with my phaser.

Mine's sorta like that. I've modded it for the 7800. You might try cleaning the lens, inside and out, and maybe reseating it.

Seems like it shoots down and a hair to the right when I'm playing Meltdown.
