King Atari #1 Posted May 11, 2002 Well, I've been looking at some Intellivision screenshots, and I've got to say, some games look pretty good, especially Dracula, and Commando (from 1987, they were around that long?). So, my question is, what's an excellent Intellivision emulator, and where could I find it? Thanks in advance.
liquid_sky #2 Posted May 11, 2002 http://www.intellivisionlives.com/download.shtml Those are the free, downloadble games released, compleate with excellent emulation. For the rest, head over to the main intellivisionlives site, and head to the store. Ive heard nothing but good buzz about the cdrom. Im planning on buying it soon, I have just heard stories on how long the 2600 games take to ship, and it makes me stubborn, beause if i pay money for a game i want it now!! geogray #4 Posted May 12, 2002 Hi there! I am the happy owner of both of the Intellivision Lives CD-ROMS. I also upgraded volume 1 recently (the original was not XP friendly.) Buying the CD's not only gets you a quality emulator and legal roms, but you also get a nice history on the Inty itself, Mattel Electronics, video gaming in general and you also get video interviews, commercials, etc. PLUS you are supporting the Blue Sky Rangers-the group of programmers who actually created most of the games. Good stuff.
Lady Jaye #5 Posted May 14, 2002 Yeah, both Intellivision Lives! (Mattel- and INTV-made games) and Intellivision Rocks! (Activision- and Imagic-made Intellivision games) are worth it. A bit expensive if you're in Canada (customs don't help), but still great.
