8th lutz #1 Posted May 31, 2006 (edited) I keep them aware from my good games. I put them in a box. I got a special name for that box. You have to pm to get the name. I own Karateka-7800, e.t, 2 copies of 2600-pac-man, Defender-2600,Cruise Missile,hol-nes, Earth World Swordquest-2600 to name a few. JB #2 Posted May 31, 2006 All mine are in the same place. I try to make the good ones easier to access, though.
n8littlefield #3 Posted May 31, 2006 For the 2600 all mine are on the same shelf. So, even though they are all out, the good ones tend to float to the top of the stacks, the lousy ones end up at the bottom. I try not to buy the lousy games, but you always have a couple you don't like. My NES games are in photo storage boxes by theme. So, my platformer box usually ends up on top, the sports on bottom and the shooters and misc end up in the middle. I'm looking to reorganize soon though... Schmead55 #4 Posted May 31, 2006 I organize all my 2600 games by production company. So I suspose you could say that I "secretly" separate the good games from the bad. My Parker Bros', Imagic, and Activision are usually at the top of the stack ahead of some lesser companies. I don't know about you guys, but some of the time I force myself to play a bad game in hopes it will be rejuvinated; usually not the case though. I don't have a large enough CV collection to sort those in such a way, so they are just in alphabetical order. TTFN Mateo
Tempest #5 Posted May 31, 2006 Only for Modern and Neo-Modern systems (Saturn on up). For my classic systems I either keep them in serial/game number order or alphabetical order, which ever makes the most sense. Tempest
Video #6 Posted May 31, 2006 I useually just organize all my games by name. Alphabetical. That way, the Bad games may get picked up once in a while. I don't know why, but For some reason, just cause I innitially thought a game sucked, doesn't mean I'll think it does the next time. And Vice Versa. Keep them in order and once in a while, the bad ones make it to the deck, and may become better ones.
eric_ruck #7 Posted June 2, 2006 Definitely alphabetical. Sometimes I want to play the "bad" games, but I may not want to spend a lot of time looking for them. Eric
shadow460 #8 Posted June 3, 2006 When you go swimming in video games, you have both good and bad titles mixed together. I keep mine organized first by system manufacturer, then by cartridge or box size/shape. I've got a Sega drawer, two Nintendo drawers, two Atari drawers, and one drawer that's mixed with both Sony and PC stuff. I'll usually keep a few good games easy to access, like right now, Shining Force II, Super Columns, Final Fantasy Legend 3, Pokemon Crystal, and several other portable games are loaded into the carrying cases ready to go. Once I get my gaming rig set back up, it'll be populated with titles like Perfect Dark, Galaga, and Final Fantasy 7.
Cybergoth #9 Posted June 3, 2006 I just sell the ones I don't like.
AtticGamer #10 Posted June 3, 2006 When I can't sell the ones I hate, I seperate them from the rest. For example, I have 6 GBA games, 3 are good (Doom 2, Super Mario World, The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past) and the other 3 are very bad and less good respectively (Sonic Advance 1&2, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo X Revival), and I seperate them to have easier access to the best games. AMG #11 Posted June 4, 2006 I have all my games together, seperated by console. Good or bad it's all there.
nester #12 Posted June 4, 2006 I'm kind of a bad game enthusiast. Actually Fight for Life is still coming in the mail. Anyway, I keep all my games together no matter how bad they might be. When my friends come over, we often have just as much fun playing bad games. They're good conversation pieces. Of course I mostly play good games, but I still love the bad ones. phaxda #13 Posted June 4, 2006 Ever since I got my CC2, I just keep them organized in alphabetical/manufacturer order. I so rarely play the actual carts now...but I still love having a nice collection. When I did use the carts I had a "top 20" and kept those carts out front and center. sega saturn x #15 Posted June 6, 2006 Only games that REALLY suck, or are just in terrible shape.
Atariboy2600 #16 Posted June 7, 2006 At first I did that but then as I keep collecting games and my list is growing I then place them by alphabetical order on all my games from 2600 to even Xbox games
