Street Fighter question

Recommended Posts

Here's one for you tournamanet fighter fans (or those who just know the answer, whatever). Was the original Street Fighter ever released for any home systems? If so, which ones?

I know it was released for the TurboCD and the PC as Fighting Street.

Let us punish the guilty, let us reward the innocent.

That was Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight, a totally different game that played somewhat like Final Fight on steroids and starred Ken in a futuristic setting.

You remember the noise we heard the other night?

Rhindle,

If that little quote thingy under your name is a reference to MST3K, then you 'da man'.

Yes it is. I change the "quote thingy" as my mood shifts, but I've been on an MST3K kick for a while, now.

My quest to obtain all things Ed Wood related inevitably led me back to the life of a MSTie that I hadn't really engaged in since the move to Sci-Fi.

But...that will leave only my ship!

From what I've read on the TurboCD version, it's pretty close.

I'm not completely sure about consoles... but I know that the original Street Fighter was available on the Commodore 64, and (I think) on the Amiga as well (Although I could be wrong about this, I'm fairly sure I remember playing it).

The C64 actually had TWO versions of this game... an American one and a European one. Both games were almost completely different (having been programmed by different companies), and one of the versions (I can't remember which) REALLY sucked.

Yes, ofcourse there was the C64 version, silly me.

As I remeber it sucked, but the sequal was a bit better, it had the No. 1 spot in the C64 chart for about 4 months.
