Best NES Castlevania game?

I think the first one is best... the other two were simply awful in my opinion.

Having some trouble deciding which to buy, I'm leaning towards #3, but what do you think? What NES Castlevania game was the absolute best?

i like them all but think that III is the best one on nes,i'd try to get that one if i were you

Tough, tough call. But I think I like the first one the best. It most definitely is the the hardest. Castlevania III is very cool and has some neat features, but is WAY too easy.

Simon's Quest is also very very cool, but seems rushed a bit and a little incomplete. I like the RPG aspect of it. I'd have to say its nearly as good as 1.

 

Too tough for me to really answer, just get all 3 and you cannot go wrong.

3 Was the best looking. I always liked 2 for the reason Stan Jr pointed out... The RPG aspect.
