orrimarrko #1 Posted June 4, 2006 Still new to this, as my question will undoubtedly show. I wanted to know which release came first (or what was the timeline) - Concentration or Hunt & Score? I'm assuming they are the same game, as they have the same CX number. Also, is there a text-only version of Hunt & Score? I know there is a text and a picture version of Concentration. Lastly, how many other titles are like this (where the same game was released under multiple titles), and what are the label and box combinations for those titles? Stuff like this would be very helpful to know. Thanks, Steve
Gateway #2 Posted June 4, 2006 I believe Hunt & Score was first. I have this game with a green text label, but no year mentioned on the cart. Here's what I can think of: CX2616: Championship Soccer - Pele's Soccer CX2642: Hunt & Score - A Game of CONCENTRATION CX2661: Basic Math - Fun With Numbers CX26119: Saboteur( AtariAge & HSW release ) - A*Team ( hacked Saboteur but never offically released by Atari ) CX26120: Stargate( silver label ) - Defender II( red label, title screen changed ) CX26157: Stunt Cycle( not officially released ) - Dukes of Hazard alternate ( hacked Stunt Cycle, not released ) Atari's Taz and Asterix are essentially the same game, but different CX numbers. Same thing with Atari Video Cube and Rubik's Cube. Coke Wins and Pepsi Invaders are both the same hack of Space Invaders. Not sure if either name is "official". And of course, half of the titles released by Sears were given new names from their Atari counterparts. --- As for 3rd party, a few come to mind: Parker Bros. G.I. Joe: Cobra Strike! went by Action Force! in Europe, also Absolute's F-14 Tomcat was called Fighter Pilot in Europe.
+Omegamatrix #3 Posted June 4, 2006 Hunt & Score did not have a picture label. I remember reading a while back some people who opened there sealed Concentration boxes found Hunt & Score carts in them (sometimes).
