Cassidy Nolen #1 Posted June 6, 2006 Hi all, I have a Logical Devices, INC. PromPro 8 and a UV Ersaser. I also have the manual for the programmer. Its an older model, works with Commodore/TRS-80 systems (the programs to type in are in the manual) and there is a section with making it compaitble with other RS/232 ports. I think you could make this work if you know what you are doing. I do not have a computer to hook it to but I was able to put it through initial startup and it did what it was supposed to do (ream the RAM and then went to default programming device). I think you could do most older game carts with this thing. Its a gamble, I know. It has a port for a keyboard which I don't have (manual calls it an optional accessory). I'd like to get $35 for the pair and the book. I think the eraser is worth that. Its the big "gang" style one that can erase like 30 eproms at a time. I am not interested in splitting the pair, so plan on buying both (resell the burner if you don't want it). I would be willing to give your money back (less postage) if the eraser did not work, as I know you most likely are buying both to get that. Cool old stuff. Pretty good condition overall but a little dusty. They have been in a box for many years and I was told they worked when they were stored, but the program stopped using C64's when they went to IBM systems.
