British 8bit Atari Magazines

Recommended Posts

I noticed on the main page of this site that there is a section for all the American Atari Magazines, but no British titles.

We did have a couple over here, ‘Atari User’ and ‘Page 6’. Later Page six bought over the ‘Atari User’ name and became ‘Page 6 Atari User’ for an entire two issues before becoming ‘New Atari User’.

I still have a fair bit of the magazines and was just wondering if anybody else still has any or collects them?

I still have all my Atari User magazines (around 12) that I bought back in the day, it's a shame that most of them are really tattered now. :(

I have two binders full of Page 6 magazines that I bought off the net back in around 2001 I think. Near enough all of them look mint.

Also, there was an excellent fanzine, Monitor, very professional done. I wish I had those

Monitor will be online eventually, the framework is in place and the archive content will be added shortly:

UK Atari Computer Owners Club

On the subject of Page 6 I am looking for a few of the Accessory Shop leaflets that used to be inserted in the mags. If anyone has those from issues 74 and 78 then please let me know!

That's great Paul. I nearly wait for Monitor, because I enjoy to read Page 6 online very much also.

I've still got some of the origonal Page 6 Disks as well, some issue disks and some of the specials. I also found a copy of bolderdash construction kit on a disk, although I've nothing to play then on just now

Paul from www.page6.org would be really glad to contact anyone with original disks published by Monitor magazine. He is preparing great new online archive at http://www.ukatari.org/ and we can expect it ready soon.
